A golf course with a magnificent view of Tokyo Bay below

This golf course, with its magnificent views and reminiscent of a luxury Southern European resort, was originally planned as a members-only club by Mitsui & Co., Tokyu Real Estate and others.

The design was done by Dai-Nippon Construction Co., Ltd., a construction company under the umbrella of both NIPPO, the largest road paving company in Japan, and Kintetsu Railway Co., Ltd.

The 6,515-yard, 18-hole, par 72 course has beautiful hilly scenery, but the course also crosses valleys and the fairways have many ups and downs, making it difficult to get a sense of distance, and the fairways are narrowed by hazards and OB lines.

A course with a 65-year history and a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji from every hole

It is a beautiful course where you can see the sacred mountain Mt. Fuji from almost every hole, including the clubhouse and starting hole, as the name suggests. What’s more, the course is not located at the foot of Mt. Fuji, but is at a suitable distance and height, so you can see the entire Mt. Fuji from the top to the foot of the mountain.

The course was designed by Shiro Akahoshi, who returned from America and introduced authentic golf to Japan.

The stage of the battle that is handed down, a beautiful course full of dignity

There is a beautiful 36-hole champion course “Lake Biwa Country Club” in Ritto City, which is a little inland from the shore of Lake Biwa, and in the town of Horse, which is famous for the training center of the Japan Racing Association.

The Lake Biwa Country Club opened in 1959, about 30 years after the Japan Open Championship began, with 9 holes (Ritto Course) as the first golf course in Shiga Prefecture.
The opportunity to open the course was planned by Ritto Town as part of the town development in anticipation of the opening of the Tomei Expressway, and the construction of a golf course proceeded by requested to Yanmar Diesel Co., Ltd., a leading company that has many manufacturing bases in Shiga Prefecture. In 1960, the year after the opening, 9 holes (Lake Biwa course) were added to 18 holes, and in 1968, 9 holes (Mikami course) were added to make a total of 36 holes.

In October 2017 Royal Auckland and Grange commenced the re-development of its golf course and clubhouse.

This project has delivered a new 27-hole Nicklaus design golf course, a state of the art, classical contemporary clubhouse and a fully-fledged driving range and short game practice area. With sand capped fairways and SubAir technology in the greens, the Royal Auckland and Grange course underpins a new standard of golf course in New Zealand.

Te Arai’s landscape varies dramatically, from heaving sand ridges and winding valleys to rumpled contours reminiscent of classic seaside links. These natural features form the foundation and inspiration for the golf holes at Te Arai Links, where the course layout reflects the land's unique character and drama. The South Course at Te Arai Links is particularly noteworthy, featuring sixteen ocean-view holes and eight that border directly on the sea, making it undeniably photogenic and visually stunning.
